Tainan City Emergency Vehicle Signal Priority System Officially Launched in 2024 (ROC Year 113)

Chaoying Technology has successfully completed the development and deployment of the “Tainan City Emergency Vehicle Signal Priority (EVSP) System”, which is now officially online.
This system leverages Vehicle-to-Everything (V2X) technology to grant emergency vehicles—such as ambulances and fire trucks—priority passage through intersections, reducing emergency response times and enhancing overall road safety.

As of today, the system has been implemented at 35 intersections across Tainan City, with onboard units installed in 20 ambulances and 3 fire engines, making it the largest EVSP deployment in Taiwan.
Statistical results show that the system reduces ambulance intersection clearance time by an average of 4 seconds, improves travel speed by 36.8%, and increases green-light pass-through rates to 89.9%, significantly boosting emergency response efficiency.
Additionally, the system’s automatic signal triggering mechanism effectively reduces driver stress and further enhances the safety and performance of emergency operations.
